Les Halos de Jupiter Côtes du Rhône 2009
Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceIn 2009 the weather was hot in the Rhone and the tendency was to make sweet fruit bombs. Jupiter is a Philippe Cambie MIchel Gassier collaboration. Expect a dark almost opaque colour with an expressive nose of raspberry (grenache) with a whack of spice. The attack is warm and rich with spicy sweet dark cherry fruit dominating all flecked by spicy meaty undercurrents. Easy to like especially if hedonistic reds are your favourite. Ready to drink for the holidays. Excellent value especially in Ontario.Tasted: 11 November 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $24.00 | 750ml | |
