Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Les Baronnes 2011
Loire, FranceMuch like the previous edition the Henri Bourgeois nails sauvignon blanc in his native Sancerre. Grown over stony/clay slopes there is richness on the palate but with a mineral, grassy, pepper, citrus undercurrent. The attack is crisp and mouthwatering with more juicy citrus fruit mixed with hay and a dusting of asparagus. Try this with pork tenderloins, goat cheese or over the holidays you could serve it with turkey.Tasted: 18 November 2012Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $30.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
