Errazuriz Max Reserva Syrah 2010
Valle de Aconcagua, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThe grapes that go into the 2010 Max Reserva Syrah came off both the Max and Ocoa vineyards in Aconcagua. The wine is aged for 12 months in 25% American oak and 75% French oak but only 15 percent is new. The nose is fragrant with a savoury peppery aspect over black and red fruit aromas. The attack is smooth and generous with more black cherry, blackberry fruit flecked with cocoa spice and just a hint of freshness in the finish. Surprisingly authentic this would be perfect with lamb shanks. A winner for the price.Tasted: 09 November 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $23.95 | 750ml | fine wine boutiques |
