Borgogno Barolo Riserva 2004

Barolo, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyA blend of three top vineyard sites: Liste, Cannubi and Fossati. Look for an earthy, black liquorice, tobacco, black cherry, strawberry jam nose with waxy, balsamic, dark chocolate, tar, pepper and eucalyptus. The attack is fresh, dry round and full with good finesse and plenty of peppery, balsamic, black liquorice, tar, plum, strawberry, spicy, tobacco, resin and savoury flavours. Still young but ripe and round, needs 3-7 years. More fruit than the 2006.Tasted: 28 November 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
