Feudo Maccari Nero d'Avola 2010

Sicily, ItalyThe Maccari néro is made with 10 to 50 year old bush vines grown at about 80 meters above the visible coast. The all stainless steel production yields a juicy floral earthy, tobacco nose flecked with strawberry, black cherry and liquorice. The attack is dry and fresh with very light, smooth tannins that lead to its smoky, black olive, cherry, cedar, liquorice, savoury flavours. A drier, rustic food style red for current drinking. Good value.Tasted: 04 October 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
