Terravista Figaro is a blend of roussanne, viognier and marsanne and one of only two wines made at the property. Sanka Tennat has a flare for making refreshing, exciting white wines and Figaro is another example. The nose is an attractive mix of white flowers, pepper and citrus with bits peach and honeysuckle. The midpalate is fresh if a touch watery but we will take the easy-drinking style over the thick and alcoholic. Turkey any one?Prices:BC | $24.00 | 750ml |

Wolf Blass White Label Chardonnay 2011
Adelaide Hills, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide, South Australia, AustraliaWolf Blass White Label Chardonnay is a limited release wine made only when the harvest is deemed exceptional. After more than a decade of work this electric, lean, yes Burgundian style white wine is a shocking about face from what many think Blass chardonnay tastes like. A selection of the best sites and the best barrels it is a true cool climate style. Most of the ferment is done with wild yeasts, in 100% French oak barriques and then it is matured for nine months with regular lees stirring. The texture is lean but with creamy notes. The flavours white peach, cashews and toast. Buttered clams would be a fabulous match.Prices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml |

Wolf Blass Platinum Label Medlands Estate Shiraz 2009
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe first Platinum Label was first created in 1998 to celebrate shiraz and Barossa. Ever since most of the fruit comes off Medlands Estate 'The Orchard' vineyard, in the north-central Barossa Valley. An old Tolley vineyard it has been completely replanted to shiraz since 1995. Each block is fermented separately and matured in one year-old French barriques for about 20 months before a final assemblage. The nose is aggressively fragrant and spicy with hints of chocolate, cedar and blueberries. The palate is similar with fresh, tart chocolate covered blueberries and soft tannins. The finish is long warm and persistent with just a few fine grained tannins to shed. Penfolds Grange Bin 95 Shiraz 2007
South Australia, AustraliaThe Grange style is always an expression of the multi-vineyard, multi-district blending philosophy of Penfolds. This is a big Grange and just starting its life as evidenced by its dense purple almost an opaque colour. Primary scents and flavours of crushed blueberries and chocolate jump from the glass with bits of soya, black liquorice, coffee and spice. The attack is rich but with a fine round dollop of chalky tannins and fresh but balanced acidity. A persistent solid, Grange with a long life ahead. The 2007 Grange shiraz was matured for 21 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads and contains three percent cabernet sauvignon. Cellar through 2015. Drink through 2040. Penfolds Grange Bin 95 Shiraz 2006
South Australia, AustraliaThere is something about the number six at Grange as in '76, '86, '96 and now 2006 although winemaker peter Gago says this Grange is more '86, '96 than '76. The blend is 98/2 shiraz/cabernet sauvignon with the requisite 18 months in 100% new American oak hogsheads. Dense rich brooding sweet voluptuous nose and attack. Alongside all 58 other edition, it begs the question could Max have made this wine? The nose is an amazing mix of smoked figs, spice and amaretto coffee. Fresh and rich but with glossy, chalky, powerful tannins, grilled meats and black fruits. Fabulous structure and power all of which suggest this one will easily last 50 years in bottle.
