Melba Lucia Cabernet Sauvignon Sangiovese 2008
Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia"A well-crafted red made to express the details of the place," or so says the winemaker and you know what it does. Melba 'Lucia' is named for the opera Lucia Di Lammermoor as performed by Dame Nellie Melba but what it really is a delicious blend of cabernet with bits of sangiovese merlot and petit verdot. It's not Bolgheri but there is a savoury edge in a light-ish floral red with black cherry flavours tempered by black olives. A modern red that takes you back in time.Tasted: 09 July 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $30.00 | 750ml | |
