Trapiche Manos 2005

Paraje Altamira, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe grapes for Manos are produced in famed Altamira region of the Uco Valley. The wine is aged 18 months in French oak barrels and then bottle-aged for another 24 months. Look for rich aromas of cedar, tobacco, barnyard, coffee and savoury meaty, blackberry, chocolate aromas. Full and concentrated but juicy many will be drawn to its chocolate, tobacco, cedar, meaty, vanilla, savoury, bay leaf and blackberry flavours. The style is intense and chunky and still with tannins to shed over the next three to five years. Not quite as refined and balanced as the Iscay malbec cabernet franc blend.Tasted: 26 June 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
