Haywire Chardonnay Canyonview Vineyard 2011

Summerland Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCanyonview Vineyard sits just above Trout Creek in Summerland. The grapes were concrete-fermented and were given a serious lees stirring regimen that extended in to three months. Despite no malolactic fermentation the wine isn't as crisp as advertised. What it lacks in vibrancy it more than overcompensates for in texture and creaminess that helps fill out the mouth and muted citrus, melon and lime peel flavours with just a hint of chalk in the back ground.Tasted: 24 June 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
