Les Clos de Paulilles 2009
Côte Vermeille, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceAt 90 hectares of Les Clos de Paulilles is the largest vineyard in the Collioure/Banyuls appellation nestled up against the Spanish border and planted to syrah, mourvèdre and grenache noir. The 2009 is similar in style and quality to the 2007 once again showing a rich spicy mineral scented nose with savoury black fruit aromas and flavours with a savoury liquorice finish. Fairly rich in soft tannins that will require a serious piece of beef to tame or another decade in the cellar.Tasted: 21 May 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml |
