Yalumba Y Series Sangiovese Rosé 2011
South Australia, AustraliaThe Y Series rosé is all sangiovese from two Barossa sites and one in Wrattonbully. The colour is a gorgeous watermelon pink, the nose a mix of citrus and minerality with a wisp of dried herbs and strawberry. The attack is fresh with strong, earthy (sangiovese?)cranberry flavours with a tart citrus undercurrent. Clean with a dry lip smacking finish calling for simply prepared west coast seafood dishes or curries.
