The Big Easy 2009
Santa Barbara County, Central Coast, California, United StatesMuch like the last edition the style is big with smoky, peppery, blackberry, floral, ginger, plum jam, cedar and garrigue aromas. The attack is fresh with medium tannins and plenty of alcohol. Full bodied with cedar, clove, vanilla, chocolate, blackberry jam, tobacco, leather and garrigue flavours with a cocoa/dried herb finish. Fine fruit and concentration but with a lot of alcohol and sweet oak on the finish. Not for the timid red wine drinker.Tasted: 29 April 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $39.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Pacific Wine and Spirits |
