O. Fournier Centauri Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Valle de Leyda, Valle de San Antonio, Region de Aconcagua, ChileThe 2011 is a slightly richer style but still in an attractive new world style. The attack is ripe and sweet with peppery melon fruit and a touch more alcohol than last year's sauvignon; still the fruit is impressive. Pineapple, melon and lime dominate the palate. The finish is exuberant and fresh with impressive texture and ripeness. Good but likely not typical of what this wine will be going forward. O. Fournier's 2010 Centauri Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of cane pruned clones 107 and 108 fermented in stainless steel. A small amount (15 per cent) is fermented in French oak to add texture and weight. This wine should be sold everywhere in Canada.Tasted: 02 April 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $16.00 | 750ml | srp |
