Region del Valle Central, ChileThe name Chono comes from an ancient Chilean tribe Darwin described as one of the bravest native tribes he ever encountered and the only one to resist being conquered by the Spaniards. The wine is a little less spectacular with its dry, leafy, undertones and skinny, red fruit, flavours. Full marks for authenticity but it could use some extra fruit and weight.
