Ca' du Rabajà Barbaresco 2007

Piedmont, ItalyThe Rabajà Barbaresco comes off 5 hectares of chalky/sandy soils at Rabajà, Pajorè in Treiso, Cascinotto-Serragrilli and Serracapelli vineyards. The ferment is in stainless steel followed by two months in concrete or stainless steel and eight months in wood to round it out. Smoky, tar, licorice root, barnyard, earthy, floral, spicy, peppery, prune, black cherry and menthol aromas. Full, dry, ripe and supple palate with balanced tanins. Peppery, coffee, vanilla, tar, smoky, saddle leather, black cherry, resin, meaty, medicinal, menthol flavours. Good finesse and balance, should keep well for the next 3-5 years with some rusticiity showing.Tasted: 06 March 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
