Yalumba FDR1A Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz 2008
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaOpen fruity nose with cassis, blueberry, peppery, liquorice, vanilla, tobacco, and light barnyard, coffee and cedar aromas. Round, dry, supple, elegant palate with peppery, vanilla, clove, coffee, chocolate, leather, cedar, tobacco, blueberry and cassis flavours. Finish has a bit of tar and liquorice with a cigar note. Good finesse and balance, drinkable now but could use 2-4 years to integrate the oak. Well done.Tasted: 12 February 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $32.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
