Trapiche Iscay Malbec Cabernet Franc 2008

Mendoza, ArgentinaCherry jam, coffee, leather, spicy, orange peel, licorice, light barnyard, leather, tobacco, curry, sage aromas. Ripe, round, smooth, supple, juicy, round palate but a bit too fat. Smoky, peppery, menthol, sage, curry, vanilla, coffee, black cherry jam, orange peel, cranberry, cigar, chocolate flavours. Good intensity and finesse in a riper, rounder style, shows cab franc and oak now. Needs 2-4 years to integrate. More demonstrative of blending and varieties with some terroir but more appealing in the mouth.Tasted: 15 February 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
