Alta Vista Alto 2007
Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaPlum, prune, black cherry, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cassis, smoky, barnyard, leather, licorice aromas. Dry, rich, round, warm palate with some grainy tannins. Prune cassis jam, black cherry, peppery, roasted meat, smoky, chocolate, vanilla, savoury, poultry spice, tobacco flavours. Big, youthful, needs 2-4 years, good potential and intensity without being too heavy but alcohol at 15%+. Big powerful blockbuster style but thankfully on the dry side. A 70/30 blend of malbec and cabernet sauvignon.Tasted: 15 February 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $111.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
