Guidalberto 2009
Tuscany, ItalyVery spicy, meaty, peppery, gamey, cassis, tobacco, cedar, chocolate, vanilla, herbs and olive aromas with a hint of leather and barnyard. Ripe, round, dry and smooth with light, grainy tannins and fresh acidity balance. Smoky, peppery, spicy, and meaty, cassis, black cherry, olive, coffee, vanilla, garrigue, tobacco and leather flavours with a touch of cedar and mint. Good finesse but youthful, could use 1-3 years aging or try with grilled beef. A more understated cab/merlot style.Tasted: 16 January 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $60.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Whitehall Agencies |
