Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz 2008

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaFabulous old vines here. Enticing rich nose of vanilla, mocha, blackberry and liquorice notes. The attack is rich and full but with perfectly balanced acidity. The tannins are supple the length super long and intense. The palate is refine with supple vanilla, spice, blackberry / black raspberry fruit flavours and more liquorice with a savoury spice flavours. Impressive rich red with excellent concentration and balance. A superb bottle of wine, the Old Bastard is considered the flagship shiraz at Kaesler.
