Concha y Toro Carmin de Puemo Carmenere 2007
Puemo, Valle del Cachapoal, Valle del Rapel, Region del Valle Central, ChileOften considered Chile's best carmenère, Puemo has a spicy, sappy, meaty, bay leaf nose with tobacco, caraway, cassis jam, and clove and vanilla aromas. Ripe, rich, round, smooth and elegant there is fine concentration and acidity in perfect balance. Cedar, peppery, meaty, cassis jam, black cherry, orange flecked flavours with leather, coffee, vanilla, tobacco leaf and minty flavours. Still youthful with a warm, slightly tart finish. Needs 2-4 years to blossom. One to watch.Tasted: 04 November 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:ON | $120.00 | 750ml | |
