St. Clement Vineyards Merlot 2008
Napa Valley, California, United StatesSt. Clement merlot is based on a blend of cool-ish south Napa fruit. In '08 the berries were small and yields were low giving the wine an intense strawberry/plum fruit aromas and flavours. Some 40 percent of the wine is aged in new French oak for 19 months giving it polished sweet' round tannins that mix effortlessly with its black fruit and chocolate finish.
