Emiliana Novas Winemaker's Selection Syrah 2006
Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileCasablanca syrah seems incongruous given the cool nature of the valley but the eastern end of Casablanca, tucked up against the tunnel to Santiago is a warmer "cool" environment that inspires this organic syrah. Look for smoky meaty Rhone notes over cool, spicy plummy fruit. The palate is mix of red fruits with coffee, chocolate and savoury berries.
