Mosel, GermanyThe Wehlener Sonnenuhr is another steep, rocky vineyard known to produce some of the most elegant and refined white wines in the world. The minerality is lively to say the least along with a wonderful crisp citrus and peach fruit. The Spätlese is a richer style with ginger and orange/apricot flavours on the palate but with fine acidity and balance. Intense but with elegance it is showing some mature subtle 'firne' or sous bois aromas. Impressive wine that will keep for a decade and more.
