Mosel, GermanyAccording to Ernie Loosen an 'enormous' amount of Dr. Loosen 2006 TBA was made (because they could) and he smartly packaged it all in 187 ml bottles to help contain the price and get people drinking it. Whether you choose to serve it with foie gras before dinner or some sort of chocolate/orange dessert after the meal this wine will stun you. The nose is simply sensational and packed full of peach and dried apricot aromas. The palate is unctuous and awash in citrus/lime and orange oil flavours the finish is long, complex and intense but clean and surprisingly refreshing.
