Evening Land Vineyards Blue Label Bourgogne Chardonnay 2009
Burgundy, FranceExpectations are high for this project that spans Burgundy, Oregon and California. The French wines are under the purvey of famed Burgundian Dominique Lafon and the introductory blue label is impressive. There is unexpected intensity of flavour one never associates with Bourgogne. Better yet is the subtle white flower nose, ripe red apple flavours and perfectly tuned minerality and acidity. This is textbook chardonnay that meets all expectations for the price.
