Montsant, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainThe Cellar Can Blau Kia is a delicious mix of samsó or carignane along with syrah and garnacha grown on old granite soils in Montsant, a sub-zone of Catalonia. Three months of French oak seems enough to smooth out the edges and bring the grapes into a fleshy, ripe coalition of flavours. The combination of spice, chocolate and dark fruits with easy tannins make this a winner.
