Beringer Pinot Noir 2009
Napa Valley, California, United StatesOak Knoll ranch just north of the town of Napa seems an unlikely source for pinot noir but it's close enough to San Pablo Bay to benefit from a cooling effect. This wine is made from a mix of Burgundian clones from Napa and other lots from Carneros. The nose is suitably earthy with a cool Rhubarb and forest floor undertones. The palate is dry with dark, sour cherry nuances, spice and a smooth silky finish. Impressive styling for Napa pinot and very food friendly.Tasted: 17 September 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $49.95 | 750ml |
