Volcanic Hills Gamay 2009
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaGamay noir is the grape of Beaujolais and one that has worked well in the Okanagan. Soft earthy sweet notes preview a similar style in the mouth. Grown on volcanic soils on the side of Mt Boucherie you get a mid-weight in colour, ripe, juicy red berry fruit with an earthy grapey finish. Pleasant well made and easy to drink. Try it with simple chicken dishes.Tasted: 11 August 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $15.00 | 750ml | vqa wine stores, winery direct, direct delivery via online |
