Florio Zighidi Passito Liquoroso NV
Sicily, ItalyZighidì follows the traditional Pantelleria wine lines, the dried grapes, the golden caramel colour, the aromatics, the raisins and figs. The difference is the ferment is halted at 5° to 6° of alcohol. With the addition of distilled wine to 16° alcohol the sugar is preserved. The result is a richer dessert wine with bits of orange and apricot marmalade with raisins and vanilla. The finish is long and persistent and sweet. Will keep for decades.
