Fortius Reserva Navarra 2005
Navarra and Basque Country, SpainFortius is an 85/15 blend of tempranillo and cabernet, the latter adding some heft to the mid-palate, the former giving it some suave supple textures. Spicy red fruits mark the nose with along with some vanilla/American oak but not too much. The flavours are similar with more red fruit than dark, fairly bright acidity, a touch of tomato leaf and notes of black pepper in the finish.
