Tesch Konigsschild Riesling Trocken 2009

Nahe, GermanyFrom south-east facing slopes at Langenlonsheim the Königsschild or the King's shields riesling is grown over chalk and loess soil dotted with seashells. Love the fresh nose of apricot fruit and the more austere chalky mineral honey, floral notes flecked with spice, apricot and slate. The attack is fresh, round, full and dry palate with ginger, honey, floral, green apple, quince and lemon flavours. Good intensity and length for food. Great restaurant wine.Tasted: 22 June 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
