Tesch Karhauser Riesling Trocken 2009
Nahe, GermanyThe original vineyard site belonged to the Carthusian monks at Laubenheim where its ancient sandstone soils face south-east. Look for a light petrol, lemon rind, honey, clover, spicy, green apple nose with notes of oyster shell and slate aromas. Fresh, delicate, juicy, crisp but creamy palate with a touch of sweetness. Pear, spicy, peppery, lemon, grapefruit, floral, honey, petrol flavours. Very fine flavour intensity and juiciness. Clean, correct dry and delicious. For serious aficionados.Tasted: 22 June 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $27.99 | 750ml | specialty listing |
