Costières de Nîmes, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceThis Costière de Nîmes wine often has a big mineral/menthol nose and the '09 is no exception. Typically more vibrant than the '08 or '07 and yet built with plenty of structure and a tannin. The attack is soft and supple upfront but the palate is a sturdy, feed-me-some grilled-meat with smoky, spicy, black fruit, roasted meat characters.
