Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalDeep dark black cherry colour. Ripe nose with black plum, black cherry, licorice, peppery, floral, orange, fig, black tea and spice aromas. Rich, full, warm and juicy with very good sweetness and acidity and huge concentration. Intense blackberry, black cherry jam, licorice, peppery, smoky, black tea, dried fig, citrus, ash and roasted chestnut flavours. Huge, ripe and rich, this is an exemplary vintage from Sandeman.
