Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalSpicy, smoky, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, liquorice nose with earthy, black cherry, barnyard and fig aromas. Round, full, supple and broad on entry with good acidity balance and velvety tannins. Prune plum, liquorice and cherry jam flavours with flecks of coffee, smoky, peppery, floral, rooty flavours. A bit hot on the finish but with fine concentration and intensity.
