Laughing Stock Vineyards Chardonnay 2009

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLemon, butter, honey, nutty lees, spicy, waxy, vanilla aromas with a touch of roasted garlic and baked apple. Round, elegant, soft palate with a warm edge. Honey, garlic, nutty lees, spicy, baked apple, smoky, diacetyl flavours with a salty, nutty, slightly sweet butter and flat finish. Very solid effort but if we are picky it is still sporting a bit too much barrel work (lees) and not quite enough acidity to lift the flat finish. Try it with roast chicken.Tasted: 29 January 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
