Camelot Vineyards Merlot 2008
East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOur first crack at this Kelowna based merlot and I have to say it is intriguing. The nose is slightly muted but with bits of black cherry, liquorice and dried herbs - can you say northwest merlot. The palate is fresh and relatively smooth if a bit dry with more vanilla, plummy, graphite, black fruit flavours. Think barbecued meats, burgers and grilled lamb. A solid start.
