Sperling Vineyards Old Vines Foch 2008
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe "old vine" foch comes off 40-something year old plants grown over a gravelly part of the vineyard. Love the texture and the balance here it almost makes the funky smoky sweaty red fruit worth drinking. I'm sure foch fans will rejoice but it is more a curiosity. A stylish foch that at the end of the day is still a foch.
