Mil Piedras Cabernet Sauvignon 2008
Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaLike the malbec the Mil Piedras (one thousand stones) cabernet is 100% estate-grown at Vista Flores in Valle de Uco. The colour is dark, the nose highly aromatic offering up dark fruit and cedar with a spicy undercurrent. The flavours are more cassis like with youthful if slightly chunky tannins. A hamburger casserole red for the winter months that won't disappoint for the price.Tasted: 28 December 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $15.75 | 750ml | speculative listing - Waldorf Wine Group |
