Meyer Family Vineyards Chardonnay Micro Cuvée Old Main Road Vineyard 2009
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaLight butterscotch, lemon oil, roasted garlic, nutty lees, vanilla nose with spicy, green apple skin tons throughout. The entry is dry and tight, the palate fresh with a taut, lean structure. Nutty, garlic, toasty lees, honey, vanilla, bitter lemon, lime rind, green apple skin flavours. Finish is tart with highly buttered popcorn and bitter rind notes. Austere but promising style.
