Fairview Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Premier Series 2007

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClassic cabernet structure and styling here with a twist of eccentricity, courtesy of winemaker owner Bill Eggert. This is likely the ripest cabernet yet made by Eggert which makes it fun to drink. Some of this fruit is blended into 'The Bear,' the winery's Meritage blend but what's left is worth checking out in this 2008 edition. Look for a spicy, black cherry, smoky nose with fresh acidity and cleanness. Love the spice and weight on the palate and the long finish of cassis jam, vanilla and flecks of coffee. Drink now with beef or hold three to five years.Tasted: 12 December 2010Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
