Maipú, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaRich open spicy warmer character with the syrah and malbec leading the way. Juicy, ripe, sweet mid-palate with equally soft, spicy round tannins in the warm finish. The flavours are dark fruit, plums and chocolate with some meaty spicy gamy notes. The blend is a mix of syrah malbec, cabernet sauvignon that is aged twelve months French and American oak. Ready to drink now through 2013. Flichman Barrancas vineyards is located some 700 meters above sea-level. Paisaje de Barrancas is a 75/20/5 blend of syrah/merlot/cabernet sauvignon that receives 12 months of ageing in new barrels -- a 50/ 50/split of American and French oak.
