Dunham Froese Amicitia Red 2008
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAn interesting blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, syrah, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot with a bright floral, spicy, black cherry nose. The entry is warm and spicy with some obvious alcohol contributing to a smooth supple character in the mouth. The flavours are a mix of black cherry fruit, dried savoury herbs and cassis all heightened in intensity by the alcohol. Will appeal to some but we would like to see a bit less alcohol and more finesse in the future. Much cleaner than the previous version and well on track.Tasted: 25 November 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $28.00 | 750ml | winery direct |
