Blue Mountain Pinot Gris 2009

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe BM gris vineyard is now 22 years old and follows the Mavety mantra: let the fruit shine. The harvested was completed over three days in mid-September. They used two French clones and 60 percent is fermented in stainless steel the remainder spends seven months in 3 year old French oak barrels and is periodically stirred to integrate the lees into the flavour and texture of the wine. Look for a slightly exotic orange/ tangerine nose with expressive citrus flavours and dry crisp finish. You can drink this now but it will improve in bottle for the next two to three years.Tasted: 28 November 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
