Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalDeep black cherry colour. Very peppery, spicy, floral, liquorice root, ash, black tea, plum jam aromas with a sausage meat note. Rich, full, warm, somewhat tannic palate with a spirity note. Smoky, peppery, meaty, dried fig, cherry jam, earthy, tobacco, liquorice root, stewed black tea flavours. Good weight and tannins but a bit less mid-palate concentration.
