Drouhin Vaudon Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir 2008
Chablis, Burgundy, FranceFrom 65-year old vines grown in an amphitheatre-like setting. Spicy, floral, honey, guava, vanilla, seashell, oyster, lime, green apple, light lees aromas. Rich, ripe, full, juicy fresh palate but bigger and somewhat more austere at this stage. Vanilla, lees, waxy, spicy, honey, baked green apple, lime, oyster shell, seaweed, floral flavours. Long with fine concentration and intensity and plenty of acidity. Seems more forward but also more powerful, one to age 3-7 years. Good value here.
