Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio 2009
Valdadige, Pedemonte Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, ItalyThe best version yet we have tasted. Look for honey, pear, floral, spicy and quince aromas mixed into a fresh, crisp, dry, elegant palate. We love the earthy, spicy, floral, pear skin flavours flecked with quince and green apple. A more delicate, austere style that is perfect with West Coast cuisine. A screwcap would likely double its appeal overnight not to mention sales. Does the American market still hold sway over such a global brand?Tasted: 01 September 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
