Man O' War Pinot Gris 2009

Waiheke Island, Auckland, North Island, New ZealandMade from grapes harvested from Ponui Island then barged to Waiheke. The two clones used offer a honey, lime, pear, green apple, leesy, slightly nutty nose. Ripe, round, rich and fresh on the palate with fresh acidity to balance the light sweetness. Spicy, honey, lime, lemon, juicy green apple, vanilla flavours with a chalky, lees finish. A bit austere but rich to go with good. Nicely balanced.Tasted: 19 September 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
