Sebastiani Sonoma Chardonnay 2008
Sonoma County, California, United StatesA lot has been said and written about no oak wines and wines showing little or no oak in the mouth but sometimes when it is done right California chardonnay can be fun oak and all. Sebastiani has always done a great job managing the oak with plenty of honey and butter and a fresh undercurrent of lees. The '08 edition with its slightly oily palate is awash in tropical fruit, vanilla, spicy baked apple fruit with a touch of honey and butterscotch in the finish. There is good acidity and palate lift to handle all the flavours. Try this with lobster or fresh Dungeness crab.Tasted: 08 August 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
